Pinole's FAQ

FAQ

HOW CAN I BROADCAST MY NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION'S COMMUNITY ORIENTED SHOWS ON PINOLE COMMUNITY TELEVISION?

Contact our Station Coordinator. He, or one of the other capable staff members at Pinole TV will discuss with you what kind of time availability we have and if we can put your show on our channel. We'll answer any questions you have.

CAN I SEND YOU MY NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION'S EVENT FLYER TO BE POSTED ON YOUR BULLETIN BOARD?

Certainly! Send us an e-mail requesting our contact phone number and we will supply you with the needed information. But before you send us a flyer, you should know, in our opinion, flyers don't look very good on a TV screen. Please read the next FAQ before considering sending us a flyer.

WHAT IS THE BEST DISPLAY FORMAT FOR YOUR BULLETIN BOARD?

Our old system for broadcasting bulletin board messages, required a format of 8 lines, with 32 characters per line. Now, we can put as much text as you want with very few limitations. We find though that too much information on one page makes it hard for the viewer to 'take it all in'. So we still suggest using the 8 x 32 format, as it seems to hold just the right amount of information.
Aside from our Bulletin Board Form on our website, you are also welcome to contact us about sending us messages in e-mail form, or in attachments.

WILL PINOLE COMMUNITY TV MAKE COPIES OF SHOWS THEY PRODUCED FOR ME?

Generally yes. Please e-mail to find out pricing. We do charge for making copies to cover material, equipment wear'n'tear, and staff costs to make copies. We will make copies of shows we produce, including football games, holiday events, and council meetings. To save you a dime, we are also able to schedule shows at your convenience to copy off the air if you live in the area, just contact us to settle the details.

CAN I PRIVATELY VIEW A PRODUCTION DONE BY PINOLE COMMUNITY TV?

Right now you are welcome to schedule with PCTV staff to come down to City Hall to view publicly available archives. Send us an e-mail so we can work out the details.

HOW LONG HAS PINOLE TV EXISTED?

For over 30 years, Pinole Community Television has existed to educate, inform, and to provide an open forum to all voices in the community.

WHO IS PINOLE TV'S TARGET AUDIENCE?

The channel is televised throughout the City of Pinole and in the surrounding communities of Crockett, Rodeo, El Sobrante, and Tara Hills.
