Earth Day is April 22
Earth Day was founded in 1970 marking the start of the modern environmental movement. Since then, it has become the largest secular holiday celebrated in the world. Earth Day is an opportunity for people to renew their commitment to the stewardship of the land, air and water. The City of Pinole will be celebrating Earth Day throughout the month of April offering various ways to take ACTION by learning different ways to implement climate action into our routine to protect the planet. Planned activities will align with the four sectors of Pinole's Climate Action and Adaptation Plan: Water, Waste Reduction, Transportation, and Energy. The main community event that will take place is the Pinole Earth Walk.
