Welcome to the Human Resources Department Page!

The Human Resources Department takes pride in ensuring fair and equitable management of the City’s personnel functions. These functions include:

- Personnel Administration
- Maintenance of Personnel Records
- Recruitment and Selection
- Employee and Labor Relations
- Classification, Compensation, and Benefit Administration
- Performance and Training
- Risk Management

The HR Department works closely with managers, employees, and labor representatives to establish, administer, and effectively communicate sound policies, rules and practices that treat City employees with dignity and equality while maintaining compliance with employment and labor laws set forth by the EEOC, DOL, FLSA, FEHA, and OSHA.

Additionally, the Human Resources Department celebrates its employees hard work through a variety of annual appreciation events. The events include:

- A Summer Party for all employees to come together and enjoy the sunshine and good company!
- An Employee Recognition Event that honors our employees who have been with the City for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and yes, even 30+ years!
