Please join us on Thursday, January 26 from 6:00-7:30pm at the Pinole Senior Center (2300 Charles Ave) for our first of two Climate Action and Adaptation Open Houses! Help us learn how we can reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and become more resilient to the effects of climate change. This event is open to all – please bring your friends, neighbors, and kids!
We will have food and drinks, information about climate science and Pinole’s greenhouse gas emissions, art activities for children and special agency guests who will share cost-savings information for Pinoleans. If you can’t join us in person we will offer a virtual Open House via Zoom on the same date and time.
Check out the event flyer for more information, and please share it with anyone who may be interested in attending. Our goal is to hear from as many community voices as possible, with an emphasis on hearing directly from populations disproportionately impacted by the consequences of climate change, particularly youth; older adults (65+ years old); low-income, historically marginalized, and communities of color; people who are uninsured or underinsured; people who work outside; as well as other vulnerable populations. We appreciate your efforts to help us reach all communities in Pinole, and share the invitation for the Open House on January 26! We hope to see you there.
