HOW DO I SCHEDULE A FIRE STATION TOUR?

NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not able to schedule any tours or come to you for a group presentation until further notice.
However, we can arrange for individual children's birthday drive-bys. Please call ahead of time to schedule: (510) 724-9053.

Tours of the Fire Station may be scheduled by calling (510) 724-9053. We request that tours be scheduled in advance. To assist in scheduling, please have the following information available:

  • Date and time requested
  • Number of persons expected to attend
  • Age group of attendees
  • Length of tour requested
  • Any special requests

We can also come to you. If you would like a firefighter to speak to a group of children or adults regarding fire safety call (510) 724-9053 or (510) 724-8969 to set up a meeting.

HOW DO I REQUEST A FIRE REPORT?

Requests for reports have to made via the City Clerk's page: https://www.ci.pinole.ca.us/city_government/city_clerk/public_records_request

WHY IS MY SMOKE DETECTOR "CHIRPING"?

Smoke detectors are designed to emit a "CHIRP" every few minutes when the battery is low. This is a warning that the battery should be replaced immediately.

ARE FIREWORKS LEGAL IN PINOLE?

No, they are illegal in Contra Costa County. The City of Pinole does sponsor a professional fireworks show in conjunction with the City of Hercules on the 4th of July.

IS IT LEGAL TO BURN LEAVES AND/OR TRASH?

No, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District prohibits burning anything outdoors in Pinole.

HOW CAN I GET A FIRE INSPECTION FOR MY BUSINESS?

WHERE CAN I GET MY FIRE EXTINGUISHER SERVICED?

There are several businesses listed on the internet under "Fire Protection Services", or search on Google Maps for the one nearest to you.

WHERE CAN I TAKE A CPR OR FIRST AID CLASS?

HOW DO I DISPOSE OF MY CHRISTMAS TREE?

WHERE CAN I DISPOSE OF HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE (PAINT, SOLVENTS, ETC.)?

Information on proper ways to dispose of household hazardous waste is available from the Public Works Department.

MY NEIGHBOR HAS DRY WEEDS THAT ARE A FIRE HAZARD. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Call the fire code enforcement officer: (510) 724-9007. We enforce weed abatement issues from June 1st through the end of the summer.

DO YOU RESCUE CATS FROM TREES?

We are called to assist the public with many different situations. But we typically do not rescue cats from trees. Often you can lure the cat down by placing some food below - when the cat gets hungry it will usually come down. If you need further assistance, contact

CAN I GET A FIRE DEPARTMENT PATCH?

We are unable to fill patch requests due to the high volume of inquiries.
