Senior Center Reopening

The Pinole Senior Center will be reopening on June 15th, 2021 for limited in-person programs. Social Distancing Guidelines will be enforced and masks are required. The reopening of the Senior Center will be a phased approach. Not all programs, activities, and services will be available during the initial phase of reopening. ONLY select exercise classes, discussion groups, and the lunch program will be available on a limited basis at this time. If there is a class, activity, or service that is not listed rest assure we do plan to bring everything back in phases at a later time. The Pinole Senior Center customer service hours have been modified during the initial phase of reopening. For Customer Service inquiries please refer to the following schedule:
 
Monday through Friday
8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
In-person payment for membership, lunch tickets, and exercise tickets 
*COVID-19 Social Distancing Guidelines will be enforced and face coverings are required* 


Lunch Program
The lunch program will be a To-Go ONLY service that will take place every Thursday. The first lunch service will be on Thursday, June 17th. Individuals interested in placing an order for the to-go lunch will need to reserve a meal beforehand. Day of orders/walk ups will not be available. To reserve your meal please refer to the following steps or refer to the PSC Reopening To-Go Lunch Guidelines:

  1. The lunch reservation list will open one week before the To-Go Lunch Service.
  2. Call the To-Go Order Line at (510) 418-0313 to place your name and requested number of lunches on the list.
  3. The lunch reservation list will close two days before the To-Go Lunch service (the Tuesday before) at 4 PM.  
  4. For calls after hours or when the Senior Center Chef is not available, please leave a message with your name, phone number, and the number of requested lunches.
  5. Messages will be reviewed in the order they are received, and names will be added to the list.  
  6. Individuals who have left messages will receive a call back confirming their order was received.

St. Patrick’s Day/Cinco De Mayo Luncheon Tickets

If you purchased a St. Patrick’s Day or Cinco De Mayo Luncheon ticket prior to the closure of the Pinole Senior Center, you may redeem your luncheon ticket for a To-Go Lunch. To reserve your meal please refer to the following steps:

  1. The lunch reservation list will open one week before the To-Go Lunch Service.
  2. Call the To-Go Order Line at (510) 418-0313 to place your name and requested number of lunches on the list. Also, please indicate whether your luncheon ticket is from St. Patrick’s Day or Cinco De Mayo.
  3. One luncheon ticket will receive one To-Go Lunch. Be sure to bring your luncheon ticket with you on the day of the To-Go Lunch service as proof of payment.
  4. If you do not have a luncheon ticket because it was purchased by another individual please refer to one of the following options:
    1. The individual who purchased the ticket(s) can place the order and pick up the To-Go meal(s)

      OR

    2. The individual who purchased the ticket(s) will need to make arrangements to give the luncheon ticket(s) to the designated individual(s) so they may present them on the day of To-Go Lunch Service
  5. Proof of Luncheon tickets will be compared to the master list obtained by the Recreation Coordinator containing the name, table number, and ticket number of those with verified purchases of Luncheon tickets.
  6. The lunch reservation list will close two days before the To-Go Lunch service (the Tuesday before) at 4 PM. 
  7. For calls after hours or when the Senior Center Chef is not available, please leave a message with your name, phone number, and the number of requested lunches.
  8. Messages will be reviewed in the order they are received, and names will be added to the list. 
  9. Individuals who have left messages will receive a call back confirming their order was received.

Cancelling a To-Go Lunch Order

  1. If you are no longer able to pick up your To-Go Lunch please call the Front Desk at (510) 724-9800 or the To-Go Order Line at (510) 418-0313 to remove your name from the list.
  2. Please cancel your To-Go order at least the day before the scheduled To-Go Lunch Service so your name can be removed from the list in a timely manner.
  3. For calls after hours, when a Front Desk attendant, or the Senior Center Chef is not available, please leave a message with your name, phone number, and the day/lunch meal you would like to cancel.
  4. You will NOT be charged a cancellation fee.

December 2021 Lunch Menu

Exercise Classes/Activities/Discussion Groups
Class capacity will be limited to ONLY 20 people for exercise and 24 people for discussion groups in the Main Hall. Individuals interested in participating in the limited programming will need to register beforehand. Drop ins will NOT be allowed. Only registered participants will be permitted into the building. To register for a class please refer to the following steps or refer to the PSC Reopening Class Registration Guidelines:

  1. Registration will open one week prior to the desired class date at 12 PM. For example: If the class you are interested in is on a Tuesday, the class list will open the Tuesday before at 12 pm regardless of the class start time.
  2. Call the Front Desk of the Pinole Senior Center at (510) 724-9800 to place your name on the class list if space is available.
  3. Registration will close the day prior to the desired class date at 12 PM or when the class list is full (whichever comes first).
  4. For calls after hours or when a Front Desk attendant is not available, please leave a message with your name, phone number, and the class you are interested in signing up for.
  5. Messages will be reviewed in the order they are received, and names will be added to the list if space permitting.

Wait Lists

  1. Once the class is full all further inquiries will be notified of the class list closure and a Wait List will begin.
  2. The Wait List does not guarantee the individual an official spot in the class. Those on the waitlist will be notified the day before the class if they were added in.
    1. NOTE: Please do not show up the day of class to see if there are any last-minute cancellations. You will receive a call the day prior confirming if you were or were not added to the class.

  2. Please cancel your reserved spot at least the day before the scheduled class.
  3. For calls after hours or when a Front Desk attendant is not available, please leave a message with your name, phone number, and the class you are cancelling.
  4. You will NOT be charged a cancellation fee.
  5. Your name will be removed from the list. If time and space permits, an individual from the waitlist may be added to the class or activity.
