2012 Summer Adventures Registration Form
June 11 – August 17
Camp Info:
Pinole Summer Adventures is filled with sports, cooking, games, arts & crafts, local field trips to swimming, Pinole Parks, the Pinole Bowling Alley, Pinole Sports & Fitness Facility and much, much more! Plus every Wednesday ALL CAMPS go on an exciting full day field trip to different locations around the Bay Area. Field Trip locations are based on age.
Project Discover: Ages 5 to 8, grades 1st-3rd
Project Adventure: Ages 9 to 11, grades 4th-6th
Project Ice: Ages 12 to 14, grades 7th - 9th
Hours: 8:30am – 6:30pm
Extended Care: 7:00am-8:30am
Resident: $120 per week, per child
Non-Resident: $140 per week, per child

Summer Leader-in-Training (LIT) Program - Leader-in-Training Flyer
The Summer Leader in Training Program is a great program for High Schoolers to gain on-the-job work experience for future employment; get the Community Service hours to graduate; be a role model for younger youth and children; and most importantly, have fun!

2012 LIT Summer Adventures Registration Packet
Registration & Payment Information
Registration is based on a first come, first served basis, per week. Participants may pre-register by paying a $25 non-refundable fee that is applied to the cost of camp for that week. Note: Full payments are due the TUESDAYbefore by 5:00PM. Late payment fees are strictly enforced. A $25 cancellation fee will be charged for weeks that are paid in full. If you do cancel, please do so by the Tuesday before the week you are registered, or the entire amount will be forfeited. There is a $15 charge to transfer from one week to another. Financial Aid is available. LIT’s must fill out an LIT application and pass the interview before they register. Registration for LIT’s will be due on Wednesday, May 16th at the first LIT training. We accept the following forms of payment: Visa and Mastercard, Checks and Money Orders (made payable to the City of Pinole) and Cash. Application for financial aid due by April 13th.
Any child picked up later that 6:30pm will be charged $1 per minute after an initial grace period. This fee is payable at the Youth Center when the child is picked up.

Play-Well TEKnologies Lego Camp

Play-Well TEKnologies provides project-based programs designed to teach principles and methods of engineering to grades Kindergarten through 6th, utilizing LEGO® for over 10 years. Utilizing over 100,000 pieces of LEGO® for each camp, we strive to build students' problem-solving skills, foster a greater appreciation of how things work, and encourage the qualities of inquisitiveness, self-reliance, and self-confidence in children.

Have your child become a Play-Well Engineer! Build cities, bridges, motorized cars and planes. With access to over 100,000 pieces of LEGO, students build what they have only dreamed of with the support of an experienced Play-Well Engineering instructor.

Bash ‘Em Bots with LEGO Ages 8 – 12
Have you ever wanted to learn to build a massive motorized machine? In this advanced engineering camp, students re-engineer standard vehicles into mechanized machines that can traverse challenging obstacles, battle against fellow bots, and take on Play-Well Instructors’ colossal creations. (Ages 8-12)

Challenger Sports’ British Soccer Camp is the most popular soccer camp in the country. Skill levels and confidence will blossom following a week of individual footwork drills, fundamental technical practices and coached competitive play – all woven around a central theme of respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership delivered with a captivating British twist.

Grades 1st through 8th
Elementary age and middle school youth will enjoy the safe, supervised, and fun programs in the Pinole Youth Center After School Care Programs, providing homework help, sports, computer access, games, workshops, and youth leadership. Transportation from Collins, Ellerhorst, and Tara Hills Elementary Schools, Stewart Schools, and Pinole Middle School, is provided by Youth Center staff driving city vehicles. Car seats are used in accordance with state law.
REGISTRATION IS OPEN!!! Pay a $25.00 non-refundable deposit now to guarantee your child's space. Every payment is due on the 20th of the month prior thereafter. Late fees will be strictly enforced.

LITs work with youth in the after school program to lead activities, be a role model, and earn community service hours towards graduation. Program begins Monday, August 30. Please stop by the Pinole Youth Center or call (510) 724-9004 for more info. New participants must pass an interview process prior to beginning.

The Pinole Youth Commission is the youth voice of Pinole and it helps to envision and create programs for youth. This is a great community service work and leadership skills training. One year commitment required. Applicants must be Pinole Residents AND/OR attend a Pinole School.
To receive a registration form, call the Youth Center t at (510) 724-9004 to have one sent to you.
If leaving a voicemail message, please be sure to spell out your name and address to have a form mailed to you or spell out your e-mail address to have a form e-mailed and specify that it is for the Youth Programming.

Restrictions may apply. Unless otherwise indicated, pre-registration is required for all programs and all programs take place at the Pinole Youth Center (PYC). Register at PYC Monday-Friday. We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard. School dismissal, activities, and times are based upon the WCCUSD Pinole School schedules. Scholarships available.
