2011-2012 AFTER SCHOOL CARE PROGRAMS, TRANSPORTATION, AND ACTIVITIES
Monday-Friday (according to WCCUSD Schedule)
Time: WCCUSD dismissal– 5pm
Grades 1st through 8th
Elementary age and middle school youth will enjoy the safe, supervised, and fun programs in the Pinole Youth Center After School Care Programs, providing homework help, arts, sports, cooking, computer access, games, workshops, and youth leadership. Transportation from Collins, Ellerhorst, and Tara Hills Elementary Schools, Stewart Schools, and Pinole Middle School, is provided by Youth Center staff driving city vehicles at an additional cost for the After School Care Program. Car seats are used in accordance with state law.
REGISTRATION IS OPEN!!! Every payment is due on the 20th of the month prior thereafter. Late fees will be strictly enforced. Space is limited.

ACTIVITIES & HOMEWORK CLUB
Offered weekdays, 5 – 6pm at PYC
Homework Club and an alternate Activity will be offered every month.
Fee per Month: Members $15; Residents $20; Non-Res. $25
TUTORING
Pinole Recreation Department has partnered with Achieve Learning and Resource Center (ALRC) to offer high-quality after school math tutoring. ALRC's experienced tutors will help students with their classwork and homework, help study for tests and quizzes, and most importantly teach students important concepts that will help them be successful this year and in the future. These one hour tutoring sessions will help raise students' grades and confidence in the important subjects of Math and English Language Arts.

Weeks include a field trip, movies, seasonal workshops, bowling, and more.

Field trip to the snow or ice skating.

LEADER-IN-TRAINING
Grades 9th – 12th
Fee Per School Year: $20 (includes 2 t-shirts)
LITs work with youth in the after school program to lead activities, be a role model, and earn community service hours towards graduation. Program begins Monday, August 30. Please stop by the Pinole Youth Center or call (510) 724-9004 for more info. New participants must pass an interview process prior to beginning.

PINOLE YOUTH COMMISSION 2011-2012 TERM
Grades 6th – 12th
The Pinole Youth Commission is the youth voice of Pinole and it helps to envision and create programs for youth. This is a great community service work and leadership skills training. One year commitment required. Applicants must be Pinole Residents AND/OR attend a Pinole School.

To receive a registration form, call the Youth Center t at (510) 724-9004 to have one sent to you.
If leaving a voicemail message, please be sure to spell out your name and address to have a form mailed to you or spell out your e-mail address to have a form e-mailed and specify that it is for the Youth Programming.
1. ONLINE
- Go to the City of Pinole website: www.ci.pinole.ca.us.
- On the home page, scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Click on the “Online Rec Registration” icon and follow the prompts.
2. BY MAIL
- Fill out the registration form and enclose a check payable to the City of Pinole or complete the credit card portion of the payment form.
- Mail the completed form to:

4. IN PERSON
- Registration may be completed in person at the Pinole Youth Center at 635 Tennent Ave., Pinole.
- Hours of Operation: Mon - Friday 2pm - 6pm. Hours vary based on staff availability.
Restrictions may apply. Unless otherwise indicated, pre-registration is required for all programs and all programs take place at the Pinole Youth Center (PYC). Register at PYC Monday-Friday. We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard. School dismissal, activities, and times are based upon the WCCUSD Pinole School schedules. Scholarships available.
