Since 1972, the Pinole Redevelopment Agency has been helping to make Pinole a great place to work and call home. Over this time, the Agency has brought in an additional $40 million in revenues to Pinole, and evidence of the Agency's work is found all over the City.
Technically a separate agency from the City of Pinole, one of the many reasons that Redevelopment is so attractive to Pinole is access to tax increment financing. This permits Pinole to gain local control of certain property tax revenues that otherwise would be split with other governmental entities, most of which are based outside of the City.
