About Public Works
Who maintains the Parks? Who stripes the streets? Who coordinates and oversees public construction and paving projects? Who cleans our City streets? Who keeps the City vehicles running? Who replaces the street signs? Who trims the City trees? Who performs the maintenance work on City buildings? Who oversees the processing at the Wastewater Treatment Plant? The Public Works Department performs all these duties.
If you see a problem in any of these areas, please call the Public Works Department at (510) 724-9010 and let us know. We appreciate it when you update us on concerns you have about Pinole!
Need a Permit?
The Public Works Department requires property owners and contractors to obtain a permit for the following types of work: Sidewalk/Driveway work, Street Openings and Grading as well as for House Moving and Encroachments. Call us at (510) 724-9010 for costs and any questions.
Pipeline through Pinole
The pipeline would stretch from Richmond (through Pinole) to Rodeo and Martinez. Hydrogen would be produced at Richmond, used by refineries there and piped underground to refineries in Rodeo and Martinez. The County is the lead in reviewing the project from an environmental certification standpoint, but Praxair will need permits from the City of Pinole for construction.
