Elementary age and middle school youth will enjoy the safe, supervised, and fun programs in the Pinole Youth Center After School Care Programs, providing homework help, arts, sports, computer access, games, workshops, and youth leadership.
Transportation from Pinole public schools is provided by Youth Center staff driving city vehicles at an additional cost for the After Care Program. Car seats will be used in accordance with state law. Transportation is offered to students attending Collins, Ellerhorst, Shannon and Tara Hills Elementary Schools, Stewart Schools, and Pinole Middle School.
After School Program and Transportation times are dismissal to 5pm (based on WCCUSD schedule).
- Shannon students will go to Portable D with a staff member to await pick-up.
- Tara Hills students will initially go to the flag pole with a staff member to await pick-up.
- Pinole Middle students will be given extra time to go to their lockers. Please meet the van 20 minutes after dismissal.
Program begins on the first day of school (Tuesday, August 23rd)
Evening Classes
Every month elementary age and middle school youth will have the option to enroll in one of two evening classes. Homework Club, an additional Homework hour where youth will receive help on homework from staff and peers, or participate in educational activities. Or, Activity Club, an interactive game or activity that alternates subject material every month designed to engage youth to learn about culture, independent living, and having fun. Evening classes are offered at an additional cost. Evening Classes times are 5 to 6pm.
