The Water Conservation in Landscaping Act of 2006 requires cities and counties throughout California to adopt the Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance by January 1, 2010. The City of Pinole adopted the State's Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance as part of Title 15 "Buildings & Construction" of the Pinole Municipal Code.
