Pinole Police Department will soon begin its fourth Citizen Academy. The Academy is designed for adults who are 18 and over who have an interest in the field of criminal justice or are interested in how government, courts and police do their job.
Academy participants should be prepared to participate in some fun interactive activities.
The Citizen Academy is scheduled to begin on October 6, 2012 and end with a graduation ceremony on November 10, 2012. Sessions will be held on Saturday mornings 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There is no charge to participate.
Students will learn about and participate in:
- city government
- traffic law and investigation
- drug and alcohol awareness
- crime scene investigations
- police radio dispatch
- court operations
- jail operations and tour
- emergency vehicle operation
Open to citizens who work or live in the City of Pinole.
