In continuing partnership dating back over 15 years with the Northern California Special Olympics through the Law Enforcement Torch Run, the Pinole Police Department is excited to announce we are participating in this year’s Special Olympics Bike the Bridges.
The Bike the Bridges is benefit bike ride consisting of a 25 and a 55-mile course and is organized by allied law enforcement agencies from Contra Costa and Alameda counties: Hercules Police, El Cerrito Police, Martinez Police, Oakland Police, East Bay Regional Parks Police, Pinole Police, and BART Police. Through the participation of numerous police employees from Law Enforcement agencies throughout the Bay Area as well as individual civilian riders and bike clubs, Bike the Bridges’ 2010 inaugural year had over 400 riders and raised over $64,000 for Special Olympics. In 2011, we had close to 500 riders and raised over $75,000.
Join the Pinole Police Department team or start your own team. Those who simply would like to encourage the participants can sponsor a team or individual rider. It will be a great time for all and we thank you in advance for making it a success. We look forward your participation and/or sponsorship: www.kintera.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=1016266
