The Housing Division administers City and Redevelopment Agency Housing Programs and offers information about affordable housing opportunities in the City of Pinole.


The City of Pinole offers the following Housing Programs:

Funding for these programs is currently frozen. Please periodically check back for updates regarding current funding status.

  • Residential Rehabilitation Program – designed to help finance improvements for residents who cannot afford to improve their homes. To qualify for the residential rehabilitation program, your property must be located within the Eligible Area. Other requirements are noted in the program descriptions.

 

The Housing Division strives to connect qualified households with affordable housing opportunities. The following links may be helpful for those seeking affordable housing in the community:

  • Affordable Housing Units in Pinole - housing units in Pinole with agreements in place that require they be rented or sold at rates affordable to lower-income households. (link provides list of Redevelopment Agency Assisted Affordable Housing units and contact information per the requirements of California Health and Safety Code Section 33418(c) / AB 987). Qualifying incomes for each are issued annually by the State Department of Housing and Community Development. The 2010 limits for Contra Costa County are listed below.
  • The Section 8 Rental Assistance Program, which provides rental subsidies for qualified families and individuals, is administered by the Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa. More information about Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher is available online at www.contracostahousing.org.

In accordance with California Redevelopment law, the Agency annually monitors compliance with its affordable housing restrictions. The results of the annual compliance audit are available in the "Affordable Housing" section of the Agency's annual report.
