Pinole's First Time Homebuyer (FTHB) Program offers up to $100,000 of down payment assistance to qualified borrowers. The following information is designed to help you start down your path to homeownership:
- Program Brochure - Read the program brochure for eligibility requirements and program guidelines.
- Homebuyers Flowchart to Success - Learn more about the steps involved in obtaining a downpayment assistance loan.
- Loan Application - Complete the program application. The application form is also available in Spanish.
- Participate in homebuyer training - Every borrower must attend
homebuyer training. You may receive training from:
- HUD-certified training facilities. (The facility closest to Pinole is the Community Housing Development Corporation of North Richmond.)
Funding for First Time Home Buyer loans is currently frozen until further notice. For information about an outstanding First Time Home Buyer Program loan, please contact Redevelopment Project Manager Francine Kuykendall at (510) 724-9808.
The Community Housing Development Corporation of North Richmond
(CHDC) manages the City's FTHB program. Periodic Program Orientations
are designed to provide an introduction to the First Time Homebuyers
Program. Visit

FTHB Annual Report
The FTHB Program calls for an annual report to be presented to
the Agency Board. The report provides information about Program
activity in the previous calendar year. The FTHB annual report
for 2010 was presented to the Board February 1, 2011. View the
